best apple dip ever

I made this recipe for the reception after our Interfaith Thanksgiving Service tonight. It's a standard around our house.

2 8oz. pkgs. cream cheese, softened
3/4 c brown sugar
2 pkgs. Heath "Bits o' Brickle" (you'll find them near the chocolate chips)

sliced apples
lemon juice
Mix the softened cream cheese and the brown sugar together in an electric mixer until they are well blended and smooth. Add brickle bits and mix until they are distributed evenly. That's it!

Slice the apples and then keep them in a sealed bowl or bag with lemon juice until you are ready to serve. This will keep them from turning brown. The trace of lemon juice adds a nice contrast to the sweetness of the dip as well.

The post that accompanies this recipe is here.

Peace,
Milton

Milton,

Do you have any ideas on candy other that Heath bars? I am not a toffee person but the rest of this recipe sounds yummy.

Sorry you have to work on Thanksgiving :(.

Ginger is not a toffee person at all and this is one of her favorite foods in the world. It doesn't taste like toffee.

If you are still skeptical, naybe butterscotch chips or peanut butter chips would work.

Oh -- I found out today I don't have to work on Thanksgiving.

Peace,
Milton

Milton, a piano recital a few weeks ago. Only 4 students, so short and sweet leaving time to graze around the trestle table. All LOVED the Best Apple Dip Ever! Thanks!
